Set Perspective

The best way to use JavaStudio is setting up the perspective to JavaStudio as seen below:

Eclipse IDE will open a dialog to select the Perspective. Select JavaStudio and then Click OK as seen below:

If you need more information about Eclipse Perspective please read this first.

By switching to JavaStudio Perspective Eclipse IDE should seem like:

Launch Wizard

In the Package Explorer or Project Explorer view, Just right-click and select New -> Web Application.

Fill the parameters for your new project.

Application Display NameSpecify a name for your application. Most J2EE Containers use this name in management console 
Base Package NameThe package base of your application. All the files will be created in this package 
Web SiteYour Company's page for this application 
Database TypeThe default database type for the created project. Please keep in mind you can also use many database types in your project. This is only for creating the default database connections for your development.We recommend using PostgreSQL at least for developing
Use BPMCheck this if you want to use ActiBPM in your project. Requires ActiBPM
Login FirstCheck this if you want your users to login before using the application User must login to use the application
Custom ThemeCheck this if you want to customize the theme for your needs. Please keep in mind you can use CSS rules to customize the appearance of the application regardless of this parameter. Requires Theming knowledge
JavaStud Partner IdSpecify your JavaStud partner ID. This will be used when you submit an issue about the framework via built-in JIRA integration 

When you specify the parameters just click the Finish button. Your new application will be created. When the wizard finishes the workspace should seem as

Simple WebApp Template
